Friday Favorites #6

Helllllllllo!! It’s Friday friends! #woot #isithappyhouryet  Today is my get it done day. I am crossing things off my to do list. Unfortunately one of those items is getting meds for my son’s pink eye. Ugh. Poor dude. Seems that sharing a house with 28 people for a holiday weekend can be a bit of a germ-fest. One kid had it and it spiraled from there. So far, 3 have gotten the pink eye. Ew. I am using Clorax wipes like they are going out of style. Anywho – aside from that, it’s a good get it done kind of day.

I am currently participating in the $100 room challenge and although I have several ideas in my head of what to do, I am getting a little lost in what paint color I should do. Or do I change it at all? This has been all consuming as you’d be able to witness if you saw my room and the 76 paint swatches stuck to my wall. Who knew that cream and white had a zillion options? I have to really narrow that down. $100 bucks goes pretty quickly too! It’s keeping me on my toes as far as what exactly I’d like to do. Ideally, I could use $200 to really be efficient but I will get it done and on budget people!

So it’s Friday which means that I am sharing my Friday Favorites.

#1 – Printables: I am swooning over the fall like weather that has descended upon us over the past couple of days. Especially after our heat wave of 100+ days. Cause that was just gross. This print at Lindsay Letters is beyond adorbs. It has all the fall feels. If you subscribe to her newsletter, you’ll get a 15% coupon.

#2 – Painted interior doors are calling to me! Between the model homes that have done it {model homes are a slippery slope for me – I love checking them out but they make me want to redo everything in my house #ineedamoneytree} and blogs like Jones Design Co and Little House of Four, I want to bust out the paint and paint all of the doors.

#3  – Apple Hill: This is a local spot for us and it is one of my most favorite places on earth. Seriously. There are 20+ apple farms within a several mile radiance. You can only imagine the treats that you can find. Apple donuts, caramel apples, apple milkshakes, apple pie and on and on and on …… and on. I heart the apple goodies! My son and I made a quick trip there the other day and grabbed a dozen apple donuts.

#4 – Instagram: I always have to share my Instacrush. This week it’s Jessica at Decorating Addict. I love how simple yet effective her decorating is.

#5 – Summer storms are so cool! We made a quick day trip to Tahoe earlier this week. We literally drove into the sunshine and blue skies. After a nice lunch on the patio, we decided to drive a bit for some exploring and fun photography ops. Well, the skies opened up and it poured! We watched the temp gauge on my car drop 20 degrees in 5 minutes. It was crazy. After the storm passed, we found a really cool spot with a couple of easy trails that had the most amazing views of Lake Tahoe. It was so tranquil and just amazing with little flashes of lightening off in the distance.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks hodge-podge of my favorites! Cheers to the weekend. I hope it’s full of fun for you!

xo,

Gabby
