20 Make-Ahead Christmas Morning Breakfast Dishes
Hey there! Tis the season for getting yourself organized. Am I right? Christmas Eve is almost always a travel day for us as we are typically in Napa with my husband’s family. Fun fact: I’d never been to Napa until we started dating even though it’s only 1 hour from Sacramento which is where I lived. I guess I liked the idea of staying in my own town to drink wine. Ha! Little did I know that I would end up living in Napa for 2 years before we got married. Anyway, back to the purpose of this post. I could share ‘fun facts’ all day but you might get bored. 😉 We always host my family on Christmas Day. We host breakfast and dinner so being prepared is kinda a big deal if I want to feed all the mouths that show up at my house and also just enjoy the day. I thought I’d share 20 make-ahead breakfast dishes that can feed a crowd. I usually serve one sweet and one savory dish. Mostly because breakfast always has me wanting a little of both.
We don’t do a lot of big breakfasts around here. Breakfast for dinner is more popular than breakfast for breakfast. Ha! I do love going out to breakfast on occasion. It’s usually one of my simplest meals of the day but at Christmas, we go big! I usually do one sweet and one savory dish with a side of fruit and of course, hot cocoa with homemade whipped cream. It’s Christmas after all.
I don’t have a tried and true recipe that I stick too. I like to see what looks good and try something new almost every year. A few of the ones I am sharing look absolutely mouth-watering. I love the whole overnight concept because you can usually whip them up pretty quickly, they basically marinate in their eggy goodness overnight and then they bake up while you open your presents from Santa. You could get extra prepared by setting the table the night before. It’s all about efficiency. Disclaimer: sometimes I am super efficient, other times — not so much!
Let’s start with some mouth-watering savory dishes, shall we?

What does Christmas morning look like for you? Do you travel? Stay home and host? Run away to a tropical island? Hey, no judgment here! I have a friend that actually has gone to Hawaii during the holidays to escape the family madness. I am so excited this year as we have had 3 new babies join our family since last Christmas. My nieces will be almost 9 months and my nephew will be 4 months. I also have a 2.5 and 5.5 old nephew. So there will be an insane amount of cuteness happening around here on Christmas Day. Lot’s of snuggles and sweet little faces to kiss. I can hardly wait! I hope your season is full of peace & joy.
Yummy! Thank you x
You are so welome Kim!
