Mad For Plaid
Hey there! I know we are already part way through December and the Christmas spirit is shining through in everyone’s beautiful decor. I have a crush on plaid this year actually, I am straight up mad for plaid. And buffalo check. I thought I’d share some of my favorite finds in plaid holiday decor today on the blog.
Next year, I will definitely plan to do a holiday home tour. I am actually excited to take some photography classes and showcase my new practices with some home tours throughout the year. I love home decor and changing things up but I have a pretty neutral pallet to work with. There will be some painting and general refreshing happening in 2018 too! Things just start to feel dingy after awhile and why not beautify with a little painting facelift, right?
This year in my own holiday decor, I have used oodles of reds, lots of faux garland + neutrals and of course some plaid. I stayed away from too much glitz and glam too. I just wanted it to feel a bit rustic around here. Success! I am really loving my decor this year and I might keep it pretty much the same next year. Unless something else completely inspires me, which might happen. Cause you know, I {heart} decorating!
Do you have a theme for your holiday decor? Are you mad for plaid? Does it find a place in your seasonal decor? I love seeing all of the fun Christmas inspiration from vintage to glam. I have even seen people use all of one color including a pink-themed tree! It’s fun that we can all just be original and no two homes are decorated the same for Christmas.
I can not believe the countdown is already on for Christmas! I have to wrap up my meal plan and get my grocery shopping done next week. I also need to get some more baking done. I have always loved baking for Christmas but for some reason, I am not as interested this year! It’s become my thing though. I show up at every Christmas event with an extra large plate of cookies. So the baking will be done. The cookies will be brought. Do you have a ‘thing’ that you do every season? A sweet tradition? A special dish that you prepare? I hope you are doing all the things that make your heart shine this holiday season.
