10 Spaces To Organize Today
Hey friends! So the kids are back in school. This is a bit bittersweet as summer goes way too fast and we never tackle all the things on our to-do list. Although, ‘our’ to do list is really ‘my’ to do list these days cause my boys are big and they are all about hanging out with their friends these days. Sigh. The times they are a changing. I can say though that I LOVE back to school for the routine that I get to establish for myself. I thrive on consistency my friends.

I am currently reading a book called The Minimalist Home by Joshua Becker. It was a free early release copy and it won’t actually be available to the public until December 2018. You can take a peek here. Joshua has a few other books available as well and although I haven’t read them, I have heard great things. The More of Less seems like a pretty good read actually. You can also check out Joshua’s website and get yourself all kinds of inspired on living with less. Organizing is my jam. It’s cathartic for me. I like how I feel not only physically but also mentally after pulling a space together after a good ol’ purge. In this post, I wanted to share 10 spaces to organize today. We all have those spots in our house that need a little extra love. Even though I consider myself to be a pretty organized person, I am still a constant work in progress.
When school starts up, it’s a great time to get yourself extra organized for the chaos that is life. You know, adding things like homework, projects, and sports. I love this awesome craft closet at Blesser House.
Having an organized linen closet is a must for me. I recently went through and did a good clean out of mine but I didn’t take the before + after pics to prove it. I did, however, find this beautifully organized closet over at Honey We’re Home.
I kinda geek out over anything that helps immediately house all.the.stuff that comes through the front door. I love this entryway set up at Simply Seleta.
Eleven Gables has the pantry of my dreams! Even if you don’t have this much space, you can copy some of her ideas for storing her dry goods. I love the idea of the cans on their side
The oh so famous junk drawer can always use a good makeover, am I right? Two-Twenty One gave her’s a pretty little makeover.
The Turquoise Home shares how she got rid of her paper clutter and created a cute office space in the process.
I love this whole garage organization system at Dixie Delights. Especially with all of the sports that many families are trying to keep up with.
I love wrapping paper and gift bags. I keep mine in a closet and baskets are my fave way to keep things organized. Design Indulgences has a few fun ideas for keeping your gift wrapping supplies housed together.
Anything with a door is fair game for an organizing makeover. It’s where clutter hides best, right? Last year, I decided that I needed to get things organized under my kitchen sink. Check out the full post here.
I went through my kitchen after the holidays and got rid of every serving dish that didn’t serve me. No pun intended but hey, it worked there, didn’t it? Get rid of things you don’t use in the kitchen. Dishes, serving platters, cups, etc. It makes things feel neater. Check out A Bowl Full of Lemons for some kitchen inspiration.
You guys, I swear – getting organized is a game changer. It seriously makes everything run smoother when you have less and organize it more. Here are a few books if you need a little extra kick in the pants for the reasons ‘why’ organizing is such a big deal.
I hope you have a fab week! If you need a little extra nugget of wisdom, remember, “You don’t need more space, you need less stuff” – Joshua Becker
