48 Is GREAT! Musings As I Celebrate Another Trip Around The Sun.
Hey friends! So I have started so many blog posts and not finished or published them, including one major vent sesh on an ex-employer which per my copyright extraordinaire friend, Kim, should be shared. I still might but I am also working on the art of letting go (by the way, I’m not great at letting go — when something really bothers me, it sits with me for too long). Kim is my go to vent girl. We leave each other audio messages and it’s like, “OK, thanks for letting me vent. Bye!” She’s also a ray of sunshine. A literal bright spot in my days.
I’ve also gone to start a blog post and had this weird issue with my blog literally being inaccessible. After some weird voodoo from either BlueHost or GoDaddy, I am back up and running but it does put me into a panic and it’s super annoying. It’s also never happened in all of the years that I have had this blog until the last 6 months. Who has time to sit on helpdesk chat for website issues? Not this girl!
So yesterday, as I celebrated my birthday I was saying to myself, “48 is great” and then it felt like a great hashtag #48isgreat Catchy and fun, right? The hashtag exists on Instagram so I am obviously not very original but listen, I’m trying to have some fun over here. I feel like it’s been a rough couple of months. A few lives lost way too early. My heart hurts for friends + family BUT I am also trying to be so mindful of the opportunities that are surrounding me. I am lucky for so many amazing things. I will say, fuck cancer. That has been the devil as of late.
So I’m being mindful about this life and how I can celebrate and enjoy all of the moments. With that, I wanted to do a 48 things that fill me up as I celebrate another year around the sun post. Maybe you’ll be inspired to make your own list.
