Friday Favorites #4

Happy Friday lovely friends! I don’t know about you but this week flew by for me. Seriously. I blinked and here we are at Friday again. It’s been a bit non-stop around here lately. Some weeks just feel a little crazier than others. This week,  I started pulling out my fall decor, I became an auntie again {little Riggs was born Saturday night}, I visited an old friend and toured her beautiful farm house which she and her husband completely renovated, she also gave me a few tips on painting cabinets {a big future project is painting my kitchen cabinets}, I spent a day with my sister and nieces, I had a hair appointment {what color is my natural color anyway? Who knows? 😉 } and yesterday, I went to my friend’s and learned how to make Kombucha. Throw in the blog and social media work, housekeeping and parenting and well, here we are. It’s Friday!! Time to share my favorite things.

I have to say, I have several blog posts in the works but I am struggling a bit with getting the perfect pictures to share. I am not a great photographer and it’s one of my goals to get better. So stay tuned, I have some fun stuff coming like my office makeover.  Also, September will also entail a mini master bedroom makeover. It’s via Lemons, Lavender and Laundry. She does these fun $100 room makeover challenges. I had planned for my office to be part of one in July but then I really started over spending cause I wanted things super organized and found decor that pushed me over my budget. The master bedroom re-do will be minimal.

Speaking of upcoming things, I am also looking forward to having Morgan from Magnolia Rain Photography come in and help me photograph my house so that I can include a home tour on my blog. It will likely be a fall home tour which is my favorite season to decorate for.

Alright, I have babbled long enough. Drum roll please ….

#1 – My Instacrush this week is Momma’s Gone City. Her sleeping babies and sweet rescue pup melt my heart. I have a soft spot for rescue animals. Our goofy pup was a rescue for us 6 years ago. He is so awesome!

#2 – This is a bit of an Instacrush but she is also on Etsy. Check out the darling signs at Here’s Your Sign. This is one of my faves and it might be on my wish list. Hint hint husband!

#3 – Kayaking! We bought kayaks a couple of summers back and I love getting out on the water. We live close enough to several great spots. Every summer I have plans to add a new lake to my list of places. This year, I am a bit behind! I had the hope of getting out on two semi-local lakes but time fills up so fast! We still have some warm days ahead so hopefully, I can cross at least one more off of my list.

#4 – Bella Bru’s cheesy breakfast potatoes. This is a local spot that has super yummy food but this dish is my fave. It has potatoes with fresh sauteed veggies, avocado, sour cream and melted cheese. #getinmybelly

#5 – The Ultimate Mac n Cheese from Sunset magazine. I have been making this recipe for years. It is loved by all that I have made it for. My youngest, who is super picky, actually requests this dish.

Thank you for checking out my Friday Faves! I hope you have an awesome weekend. Are you doing anything fun? I am co-hosting a garage sale with a friend and then on Sunday, I am headed to So Ca to visit my family and meet my newest little nephew. My 5-year-old nephew happens to give the best hugs ever. Really. He throws his entire body at me. It’s the cutest thing ever. I can’t wait!

xo,

Gabby
