Friday Favorites – Spring Fever

Hey friends! Spring is in the air. Can you feel it where you live? We had a super late winter here but when it arrived, it was serious business. We got a lot of rain here and tons of snow in the mountains which we definitely needed. Now we’ve had some beautiful sunshine but the rain will be making a come back soon. Until it does, I will be soaking up all the sunshine. This week I thought I’d share a Friday Favorites, Spring Fever edition.

Oh, I also wanted to share a few of my favorite pics from spring break. We headed to Lawson’s Landing over on the Sonoma Coast. We couldn’t have asked for better weather.

I love this old building. They were actually in the process of repainting the buildings while we were there.

My oldest son snapped some pretty cool pics while we were there. He has an eye for nature and always gets the best photos.

This little guy was hanging out by the pier cause everyone was crabbing and he knew he’d get lots of free food by stealing the bait in the crab pots. I just noticed that his nose is in the shape of a heart. How cute is that?

I headed over to Napa for my niece’s baby shower on Friday. My sister in law is an amazing hostess and her parties never cease to amaze. We got some stuff done Friday evening but we were up bright and early on Saturday morning to finish the setup. We had the best views of the hot air balloons making their way right over her house.

With spring comes my desire to refresh the outside of my house. This year that came in the form of painting the exterior of our house. I will also be changing up and adding in some fun decor, switching out the cushions on our patio furniture and even restaining some furniture. Our summers heat up quite a bit here but I do love being outside as much as I can.

#1 – I love succulents and Ecoyardscape has some beautiful photos on their Instagram feed.

#5 – A sweet friend gifted me some lavender sugar and this might just be the perfect recipe to use it in. Lavender + Shortbread = melt in your mouth goodness. Lively Table has the recipe for these over on her blog.

Are you a fan of spring? I love the season and all of the beauty that comes with it. Things are green, lush and blooming. Gardens are producing their bounty and thanks to more sunshine, it’s the time of year to start planning for summer produce. It’s the season for visiting nurseries and planting flowers and herbs. The birds are singing more, the sun is shining yet the days are still cool enough to be comfortable and it’s acceptable to wear jeans, cardis, and sandals. It’s also pedicure weather which is kinda my fave.
