Friday Favorites #7

Hey there fun Friday faces! So I skipped a week of Friday Favorites {gasp!}. I have been thinking that I might make this a biweekly post instead of weekly. I want all of my posts to feel organic in nature. Basically, I don’t ever want a post to feel forced or rushed. Sometimes I feel like I am scrambling to throw together a Friday Faves with the hustle and bustle of a typical week.

Did you know that today is officially the first day of fall? Did you know that this is also my most fave time of year? Most people that know me, even just a little, know that I seriously love this beautiful season. The crispness in the air, the foods, lovely pumpkins, the holidays that come with the season. There really isn’t a single thing I dislike about this time of year except that it goes by way too fast.

So without further ado, here’s what I am crushing on this week.

#1 – I always love sharing an Instagram favorite. This week I am loving pine.and.birch Not only are her custom signs super awesome but her decor. Swoon.  I want to copycat all of her stuff cause it looks so amazing.

#2 – Cargo Vests– I have my eye on this trend for awhile but I haven’t committed just yet. My biggest dilemma is what color to choose? Charcoal or olive? Hmmmm … I love layering in the cooler months and vests are a perfect way to get cozy without feeling like an Eskimo. Am I right?

#3 – A good cup of iced coffee. Yesterday, I took a ‘brain break’ and headed into Sacramento which is about 25 minutes from here. I was craving a walk in my favorite old neighborhood {which is one that I used to live in}. East Sacramento is full of charm and character and seriously makes me feel so happy when I am there. A quick stroll through the McKinley Park Rose Garden started off my 4.5 hustle. Afterwards, I went to Philz Coffee for the sweetest treat. Actually, it wasn’t too sweet which was awesome! It was an iced mocha Tesoro but they make them on the spot. No premade stuff here! It was a sweet pour over infused with all of the right flavors. My taste buds were so happy.

#4 – FREE printables! I love changing up my decor for the seasons. Recently, I shared 20 of my favorite free fall printables. Click here for that link. This one from Nest of Posies is a favorite that I shared in my round up.

#5 – Pumpkin Dump Cake – This is a life-changing, stupidly easy, get in my belly, popular fall recipe. If you haven’t made it before, you should make it now. Like right this second. If you share this recipe, prepare to have people tell you that they love you and that you are an amazing cook. 😉 Some people call this a crunch cake. Either way, same basic ingredients. Also, you can use a yellow or spice cake mix. I have always used yellow but I might just have to try the spice variation soon. Today’s Creative Life also added some chocolate chips.  I also love to serve it with a dollop of homemade whipped cream with a dash of cinnamon. Yum!! Hello fall goodness.

I hope that you enjoyed today’s Friday Favorites. Are you loving the change of seasons? What’s your favorite part of fall?
