Friday Favorites – Summer Edition

Hey friends! So I’m on a roll, obviously 🙂 I always love reading bloggers + influencers favorite things round-up and I have a few of my own to add. I’m also procrastinating on what I should be doing right now which is some home organization and work. I did organize my junk drawer last night and then I completely forgot about it until I went rummaging for lip gloss this morning. I was pleasantly surprised at my own efforts. Ha!

A few of my all around favorite things in summer are: early mornings, dusk, iced coffee, cocktails, a cold beer, pedicures, casual attire, catching up with girlfriends, day dates with my husband, live music and a good outdoor meal.

S U M M E R   F A V O R I T E S

1. My friend, Christie, became an esthetician last year and she gave me an amazing facial. She introduced me to this amazing sunscreen and a Vitamin C oil that I just love. My face tends to get dry and I love how quenched it feels when I use this oil. I’ve tried a few others but nothing compares and it smells like fresh oranges.
2. This swimsuit covers me up in the right places but is also flattering. I love how the top and bottom don’t match but go so well together. It does run small so size up.
3. It’s bug season. Mosquitoes eat me up and I am not a fan of the chemical smell of most bug sprays but this classic bug spray by Avon does the trick and smells good.
4. These slip-on shoes were a great way to switch out flip-flops on a hot day for my husband. They give a bit more cushion and look a bit more ‘dressed up’ then sandals.
5. I have these overalls in 3 colors and every-time I wear them, I get compliments and people want to know where I got them. They are so loose and comfy, they wash well and require no ironing! They are a perfect alternative to shorts on a hot day. I usually pair mine with this tank top (which I own in 7 colors because it’s THAT good) and a pair of Birkenstocks. I am alternating between my white and black ones at the moment
6. I recently read Between Two Kingdoms and I absolutely loved it.
7. This little handheld frother is one of the best inventions ever for us coffee lovers. It makes whipped coffee effortlessly. Check out this post for a recipe for my go to whipped coffee.
8. I found these odd sized measuring cups which are awesome for baking while perusing Crate & Barrel last week. I love that they come in 1.5 and 2 cup sizes.
9. In our recent remodel, I got to decorate our new guest room. I opted for black, white and a rust color. This bedding is so pretty and looks great with this cow print.
10. With the hot days of summer upon us, one of the best ways to serve dinner is on a cheese board. I love this book for all of the wonderful charcuterie options. Finger foods really are the best.
