The Perfect Summer Cocktail
Summer is a frenzy of social events. There are BBQ’s, swim parties, family reunions, picnics, camping trips, day trips, hot summer nights and patios & porches just begging to be socialized on. So many of the summer events involve food and cocktails. I have created an easy cocktail that is sure to quench your thirst on a hot summer night.
I love trying new cocktails. When I go to a restaurant, I always check out the cocktail list. Sometimes I take a picture of the menu in hopes of recreating some of the combinations at home. I have always enjoyed San Pellegrino mixed with vodka but this year, I discovered Alta Palla. It’s refreshing and the perfect mixer. Have you tried it? The sparkling cherry is my favorite.
I am also a fan of sauvignon blanc. I tend to drink a lot of gin + tonic {OK, not a lot as I really only indulge a couple of days a week}. Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic is delish and makes a fab g+t if that’s your thing. Gin, fresh lime, and this tonic water and boom – a refreshing summer drink is in your hand!
Are you ready for a simple and oh so refreshing summer cocktail?
The Perfect Summer Cocktail
- Fill a short glass with ice {crushed is best but regular cubes are fine}
- Add fresh lime juice from 1/2 a lime
- Add one shot of vodka
- Add 1/2 an Alta Palla sparkling beverage – black cherry is my favorite
- stir and enjoy
Cheers!!
Do you have a preferred summer beverage? I also love plain old iced tea. No lemon or sweetener.

Gabby
PS – Fresh lime seems to be the perfect addition to my cocktails as of late as you can see above. Yum!
Thank you! Sounds good x
