You’ve Been Boo’ed!
Have you been boo’ed or boo’ed someone? This is a super fun Halloween tradition. We did this every year when my kiddos were younger but now that they are so big, it’s not really on their radar anymore {boo hoo – literally!} Regardless, I think it is a super fun tradition and I wanted to share a few of my favorite boo ideas with you. I have also included a few adult versions of this creepy tradition {OK, it’s not really creepy but you know, it’s Halloween so I wanted to make it sound somehow sinister}.
The basics:
- You assemble a basket/bag/bucket of treats – the dollar store and Target Dollar Spot are perfect places to pick up some cheap treats or get extra creative and make your own.
- Print out a cute you’ve been boo’d sign and letter to include with the treats so that they know what to do next.
- Leave them on a friend or neighbors doorstep {this is really for the kiddos but you can also boo’ze your girlfriends, just sayin’. I have included some adult version suggestions and printables below.}
- The fun part? You have to be sneaky! ring the doorbell or knock on the door and RUN!
Abilities needed:
- A great sense of humor
- Being sneaky
- Running
- Good at hiding
Hilarious story. One year, we boo’ed the neighbors and we got chased! Seriously. My neighbor had been doorbell ditched so when we rang his bell, he’d had enough and proceeded to completely miss the treat on his doorstep and chased us. I almost peed my pants because I was laughing so hard! He was barefoot and all I could hear was his bare feet slapping the asphalt. Ha!
Tidy Mom – I used her awesome printables for my own Boo creation using some fun items from Target. The Target Dollar Spot is one of my favorite places to find inexpensive and fun decor and gifts. You can assemble a cute basket in no time with a small budget which is rad, am I right?
Those are just a few of the fun BOO ideas out there but guess what? You can BOO your girlfriends too {as I mentioned above}. I mean, why leave out the grown-ups, right? That just doesn’t seem fair! Can’t we all play and have fun? Yes! I think so too.
Cheers to you! I hope this month is full of fear and delight for all the little {and big} goblins in your life.
