I thought I’d share a few things that make cooking and serving soup even easier! Wooden spoons and a dutch oven are my go-to soup making tools.
My friend Erin over at Lemons, Lavendar and Laundry had a great idea that was inspired by an article in the Magnolia Journal. The article was about sharing the warmth and with this means creating a meal and inviting friends into your home. Erin hosts a once a month soup dinner at her house and invites all to join in. She keeps her meal simples and focuses on the company. I love this simple idea and soup is the perfect meal to feed a lot of bellies with little effort plus it can warm you up on a chilly fall evening.
Fall is always so busy. For me, it is my hosting season. I open my door for many things during the fall season but this year, I changed things up. I decided to take the pressure off and I canceled two of my annual events. As much as I love hosting these gatherings {including a rather large favorite things party as well as a holiday open house with local artisans}, something told me to slow down this year. So I said no to what was causing more stress than joy. Once I made those decisions, I didn’t look back. Sometimes we need to say no to be at our very best, does that make sense? I hope you are slowing down and enjoying this time of year.
Yum!! These look delicious! I am all about soups in the fall and winter! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Holly! I Love all the soups during the chilly months.
