A Festive Cinco De Mayo Party Menu
Cinco De Mayo is right around the corner and Mexican food, hands down {or hands up if you agree}, is my favorite food. If I have a choice of what I want to eat, Mexican food almost always wins. My favorite snack is chips and salsa. I seriously can’t get enough. Guacamole? Yes, please. Churros? Most definitely.
Today I am sharing a fun sample menu for a super awesome Cinco De Mayo dinner or party. This year, May 5th falls on a Friday or a Friyay as I like to call it.
I’m day dreaming of hosting a fun Cinco De Mayo party but because my husband it just getting off of work after 4 straight days that morning {firefighter schedule so he left this morning and we won’t see him again until Friday}, my oldest has a mountain bike ride that afternoon and our backyard is kinda trashed, it just isn’t in the cards but I will still be having a Corona or a margarita with chips and salsa at the very least. The churro cupcakes below are calling my name. I do {heart} churros.
Random fact: When I was pregnant with my oldest, I ate a Chipotle veggie burrito at least 5 days a week. Yes, really.
Mountain Mama Cooks – Blender Salsa
Love From The Oven – Individual Seven Layer Dip
Dine and Dish – California Avocado Walking Tacos
Catch My Party – Taco Bar with printables
Little Spice Jar – Mexican Street Corn (Elotes)
The Marvelous Misadventures Of A Foodie – Mexican Fruit Cups
The Domestic Rebel – Churro Cupcakes
Noble Pig – Coconut Lime Frozen Margaritas
I realized that I posted several appetizer recipes. I might have an obsession with appetizers. Maybe. đ Seriously, I could live on appetizers.
Do you celebrate Cinco De Mayo? Do you have a favorite recipe? I’d love to hear it.
xo,
Gabby
