Friday Favorites – Fall Edition
Hey friends! So fall officially starts tomorrow and that just gets me all WOOT WOOT! Who else can feel it? The weather has been exceptionally nice and I have been able to wear jeans, a T + cardigan which is so my favorite outfit. Throw in my Birkenstocks and I am one really happy girl. It is supposed to creep back into the upper 90’s but soon enough, the cooler weather will be here to stay.
So you know that I love sharing some of my most favorite things and because it’s my favorite season, I have decided to share 10 things this week instead of just 5. #yourewelcome
#1 – I love appetizers. I could seriously survive on just apps if they didn’t make my pants fit so damn tight. Calories are a beast. These baked honey goat-cheese pears at Honest Cooking look so amazing.
#2 – I am a sucker for all the fall decor. A Night Owl Blog created this cute little pumpkin bucket using just paint. Yep, she made it look rustic with some easy craft paint.
#3 – We have a special place nearby called Apple Hill. It is one of the busiest spots in Northern California during the month of October. I usually make a few weekday morning runs for fresh donuts. I spotted this recipe for baked apple cider donut holes over at The Little Spice Jar.
#4 – I love cozy cardigans and this super soft beauty at Nordstroms is definitely on my want list this season. I love the deep plum because it stands out against a world of neutrals.
#5 – Getting outside and walking is my daily therapy. I’m starting to notice the falling leaves along the way and it makes me so giddy. This pic is from a fun day trip we took last year to the Sierras. I’d love to get up that way for a hike this fall. The colors are just beyond spectacular.
#6 – I love how On Sutton Place incorporated navy into her front porch decor. Plus rocking chairs. Need I say more?
#7 – Jenny Cookies added some cute flannel to her min apple pies. Are you kidding me? This is just beyond adorable!
#8 – Soup is most definitely one of my favorite foods during the cold months. This brie + cheddar apple-beer soup at Half-Baked Harvest looks to die for.
#9 – This season, I added some mustard throw pillows to my couch. It’s a color that I have always loved as the season changes and the leaves turn golden but this year, I brought it inside my home. It’s a beautifully rich color and I love the look against my neutral couch. HomeGoods is one of my favorite spots to scoop up throw pillows + all the home decor.
#10 – I spotted this cute entryway over at Decor Hype on Instagram. Black + white is always a combo I can get behind and the addition of the green chalkboard is so fun.
What is your favorite thing about this new season? Is it the food? The clothes? The weather? I love it all. It feels like a very short season and I try my best to really soak it all up.
