Thankful
Hey friends! This is a short and sweet post to wish all of you a most beautiful Thanksgiving. We just got back from a quick camping trip in Coloma, California that was so close to home yet felt like it was worlds away. I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t in a great headspace for the trip. With some major teenage drama that was happening as well as a minor car accident {just me – no injuries to me although I kinda wrecked all.the.mechanical components of my car #imsosad}, I was just feeling like I needed to have a major mama time-out. Anyway, I am glad that I got out of my own way and went cause I so love this crew! We have been camping with my husband’s coworkers for many years. We’ve watched each others families grow. It truly is a special group. For those that don’t know, my husband is a firefighter. This is his extended family outside of our home. On Sunday we hosted a huge Friendsgiving and it just warmed my heart to be in the presense of these heros and their sweet families. I’d love to say that I have so many awesome photos of this trip but I am lame and the only ones I got were from a walk I did one morning. Or maybe my phone wasn’t attached to my hip and that was a great thing. #perspective
Today, even though I am coming off a stomach bug – I am finding gratitude in all that I have.
- I am thankful that it’s only a quick stomach bug and not something serious.
- I am thankful for my husband that works hard to support my dreams and our family.
- I am thankful for my kids for making me a mom – even through the hard moments.
- I am thankful for my family for their support and love.
- I am thankful to my friends who carry me through the hard stuff.
I hope you have a list of things to be thankful for today and always. Sometimes life can be hard and kinda messy but hopefully even through those things, you can find the good stuff.
Happy Thanksgiving sweet friends. I am grateful for you.
