Simple Ways To Style A Tray

Hey friends! If you know even a little bit about me then you know that I am a sucker for home decor. Like, hold me back cause I want to but it all. Really. This does nothing for the concept of K.I.S.S. {keep it simple stupid if you didn’t know}. I should not buy. I should not go to Home Goods. I should be on restriction from Target. But hey, I love home decor 😉 It’s an addiction really. Ask my husband. But don’t ask about throw pillows. Really. Don’t. He thinks I need an intervention. Maybe I do. Whateves. One of the things that I have fallen in love with in decor is styled trays. I use trays all over my home to corral things. They are fun to change up for the seasons and they add a fun pop to things like the kitchen table, a dresser, and even the bathroom! Trays are such a fun way to express yourself and pile on the home decor.

I thought I’d share some fun tips on simple ways to style a tray and also some beautiful examples. The beauty of home decor and design is that it’s uniquely you! If you love it, then own it. If it doesn’t serve you or make your space feel pretty, then change it up. You’re in charge!

SIMPLE WAYS TO STYLE A TRAY

What can you include in a styled tray vignette?

  • Find your base – a tray, wood slice, bowl, lantern, basket
  • Add in layers – pitchers, greenery, small birds, candles, clocks, wood signs, books {especially vintage}, beads

Rod Works is one of my favorite little home decor stores. I find inspiration in every corner and today when I popped in, I found several styled trays that made me smile. Note that they used a wood slice instead of a tray but it serves the same purpose.

This is one of my own trays. How cute is this sweet little calendar from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia?

In this particular style, I chose a basket that I had and added this cute Magnolia pitcher, s+p shakers and some fun faux greenery for a pop of color.

Are you loving the styled tray trend? How do you style your trays?
